In registering for a month long painting workshop, which consists of four (4) consecutive
weekly three hour long classes at The Bauhaus, LLC, I, the student signing below,
understand that I am agreeing to the terms set forth in this Registration Agreement.
1. Registration and Registration Fee.
Student agrees to pay The Bauhaus, LLC the sum of $________ for the ____________Workshop (the Registration Fee), which Registration Fee is nonrefundable unless The Bauhaus, LLC cancels the workshop. Registration is not complete unless Student signs a Registration Agreement and pays the Registration Fee in full. Spaces will not be reserved for students who have not complete registration. Space for each class is limited. In the event all spaces are filled, individuals may be placed on a waiting list. Students will be notified of availability in the event of a cancellation.
Student is responsible for attending each session in the workshop. The Bauhaus, LLC is under no obligation to make up a class missed by a student.
3. Property Damage and Theft.
The Bauhaus, LLC is not responsible for damage or theft of any student’s personal property or paintings.
The Bauhaus, LLC will allow students to store their paintings at the studio for a period of not more than 30 days from the last day of any workshop. This is a privilege extended to enrolled students to ensure time for the painting to dry, at least to the touch, before transporting. Paintings not removed or claimed after the 30-day period will be deemed abandoned and become the property of The Bauhaus, LLC unless prior arrangements have been made with The Bauhaus, LLC.
5. Copyrights and Usage.
The Bauhaus, LLC reserves the right to use photographs of students work, finished or in progress, for promotional purposes at it’s discretion at no cost to The Bauhaus, LLC. Any such photographs will not be deemed an infringement of Student's rights.
The Bauhaus, LLC may terminate Student’s enrollment in a workshop in The Bauhaus, LLC's sole discretion, in which case, the Registration Fee shall be forfeited.
7. Brush Buy-back Policy.
The Registration Fee includes a “SET” of Professional-grade Windsor Newton Lexington Hog Bristle Brushes for Student’s use during and after the workshop. The brush set includes one of each of the following sizes, #2, #4, #6, #8, #10, and #12. Student owns the brushes and is responsible for the care of the brushes. In the event, after one workshop at The Bauhaus, LLC, Student no longer desires to paint and has no need for the brush set, , The Bauhaus, LLC may, in its sole discretion, buy back the brushes, provided Student has the complete set of brushes and the brushes are well cared for and in good working condition. In the event the brushes qualify for the buy-back, The Bauhaus, LLC will pay Student the sum of $40.00 by check within thirty (30) days of The Bauhaus, LLC agreeing to purchase the brushes and Student returning the brushes. The check will be mailed to Student’s address provided below.
8. Materials Included in Registration Fee.
In addition to the four sessions, the Registration Fee includes the materials necessary to complete one (1) oil painting on canvas, namely one (1) 22” x 28” Double Oil Primed Canvas, Stretched. Any student requesting or requiring a canvas size other than the canvas included will be charged a minimum of $40.00 for a custom size, at which time a quote will be provided, agreed upon and paid in full with Registration Fee. The following materials, owned by The Bauhaus, LLC, are provided for use directly pertaining to the painting being made in the workshop: One Color Photographic Print for Painting Reference,(if additional prints are required by student, there will be an additional charge of $5.00 per print), Oil Paint, Linseed Oil, Mineral Spirits, Palette Knives, Pencils, Pens, Rulers, Yard Sticks, Pencil Sharpener, Paper Towel, Palette, Easel, Tables, Lighting, Clear Plastic Sleeves, Brush Washer, Container, Imprimatura Brushes, Trash Bins, and View Finders.
9. Open Studio.
The Bauhaus, LLC, in addition to the four consecutive classes, offers “Open Studio” time on Friday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., which is available to all paid students currently enrolled in a workshop as a means to independently either make up a missed class or catch up on the painting they are working on in the workshop. Open Studio time is not to be used for any other purpose. Open Studio is a privilege granted by The Bauhaus, LLC and may be subject to withdrawal at any time without notice.
The Bauhaus, LLC reserves the right from time to time, without notice or reason, to substitute the Instructor, David Anthony Hummer, with an instructor of it’s choice for any class in any workshop period.
